(noun) the ability to understand another person’s feelings, experience, etc.

  1. Lilly shows empathy towards her friends by listening attentively and offering support during difficult times.

  2. In my role as a teacher, I try to demonstrate a deep sense of empathy, understanding my students' emotions and experiences without judgement.

  3. Teaching empathy in schools can help students develop a better understanding of others' perspectives and foster a more compassionate community.

  4. The novel's protagonist displayed empathy as she went out of her way to help a struggling neighbour.

  5. Workplace environments that prioritise empathy often see improved collaboration and a stronger sense of camaraderie among employees.
