English Teacher Goes To Brighton!

😍 Nestled on the south coast of England, Brighton is a vibrant seaside city renowned for its eclectic charm and bohemian spirit. Famous for the iconic Brighton Pier, lively beachfront, and dynamic arts scene, this coastal gem offers a unique blend of historic elegance and contemporary creativity, attracting visitors from around the world. 😍

👀 I spent the weekend in one of my favourite English cities, Brighton! I managed to go to a David Hockney exhibition (which is technically just outside Brighton, in Lewes), had a walk to the end of Brighton Pier which is filled with funfair rides and walked around one of my favourite areas: the Lanes. The Lanes in Brighton is a historic and picturesque area known for its narrow, winding alleyways filled with a diverse range of shops, boutiques, cafes, and pubs. This vibrant district offers a unique shopping experience with an array of independent stores selling antiques, jewellery, vintage clothing, and eclectic items. The North Laine area, in particular, is famous for its bohemian atmosphere, street art, and alternative culture. You can explore a mix of quirky shops, cosy coffee houses, and find hidden gems in this charming part of Brighton. 👀

Osman Yousefzada

Next to David Hockney’s rarely-seen early drawings exhibition, (sadly I wasn’t allowed to take photos in that one!), is British born, interdisciplinary artist and writer, Osman Yousefzada’s work. I’m a big fan of modern art work and I must say, his prints and large-scale textiles did not disappoint!
